If you are comfortable working with tax software and want to try filing on your own, or if we have referred you here in the past, you can use our Facilitated Self Assistance partner at http://www.myfreetaxes.com/  Your federal and state returns will be free as long as your income is $62,000 or less. Links to this site will also be available during our normal Free Tax Preparation Program hours here at Alternatives, so you can use our equipment and get help with any questions you might have.

NOTE: If you are self-employed (Sch. C or received a 1099-MISC), please fill out our self-employed worksheet before calling 2-1-1 to schedule your appointment.

d over $36.8 million in refunds to our local community.

Our goal is to help all eligible workers claim the
credits they deserve without paying fees, and to help them turn refunds into financial assets.
