Anna's Alterations & Custom Wedding Gowns

We opened in 2004, just after Anna attended Alternatives' MoneyWise & Business CENTS classes. In 2008, with interest rates dropping, we saw an opportunity to borrow money to help grow Anna's flourishing clothing alterations and custom dress design business. However, we first had to find a bank willing to lend to a sole proprietorship business located in a house heated only with firewood.

After a cursory chat with Everett, we heard back only a few days later that we would be approved to borrow up to 95% of our home's appraised value - an amount far higher than any other financial institution offered us. The loan process was a snap, as Everett, Janet, Giuliana and Eric made the process easily understandable and free of surprises. Less than three weeks after we we were approved, the money was in our account!

Phishing Scams

Beware of Phishing Scams! During the last few weeks, there have been multiple "Phishing" scams that are initiated via email that appear to be from the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) or other credit union entity. This false email asks for the recipient to click on a link to verify account registration. If the recipient proceeds, the link directs them to a false website and asks for specific account information.

If you have received any of these emails and did choose to respond with your confidential account information, please contact Alternatives immediately at 607-273-4611, Ext 804.

Alternatives takes the security of your account information very seriously and will continue to try to educate members of these third-party attempts to improperly obtain such information directly from our members. Alternatives will not solicit sensitive account information from our members via email. Members are reminded to review their accounts on a regular basis and to alert Alternatives if they see any unauthorized activity.
